92 % of the falls are stone meteorites, but they represent less than 10 percent of meteoritic material available. While the average weight for an iron meteorite is 1 tonne, chondrite and achondrite falls are generally of few kilos. Stony meteorites differ widely from each other: ordinary chondrites, carbonaceous chondrites, enstatites, rumurutites, achondrites and primitive achondrites show the different stages of our early solar system formation. For educational and scientific purpose, we build a data bank with all information, images and photos available on these rocks from space.

All these reference cards are in A4 format (680 x 960 pixels) on the CD-Rom and images of cutting are in full screen definition.
